Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Motion to FCP`

When round tripping from Motion to FCP, Final Cut seems to experience a drop in quality. Motion plays back the graphics clear, but in Final Cut the graphics (TEXT) seem to get fuzzy. What could cause this?

    Thanks for your time!

You have 2 things to check.

1- do your Motion project settings match your timeline settings?

2- Have you rendered your Motion project in your FCP timeline?

BTW, what are your settings? If your FCP project is DV or HDV, you’re not going to get very good results.

In Motion, match your FCP settings (it should conform if you roundtripped from FCP). Set Render quality to Best. Save to complete the roundtrip.

In FCP, set Sequence Settings > Render Control + Video Processing to Best.
