Motion Text Plugin to Effect on Names From a Text File?
Hello Everyone,
Working on a project where I need to effect in 1000 peoples names over a 10-15 minute video. I’m looking for an Motion text plugin that can read names from a text file and bring them on in dynamic ways one after the other. Any ideas or other suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.

Sorry, such plugin does not exist. The only way I know is to have those names in a separate text layers than you will need to apply behaviors to them separately.
Maybe try using replicators in some way. Very difficult one. -
1000 names in 15 minutes means about 0.9 seconds per name. Is that really long enough to bring them on dynamically while still having time to read them? Or is the idea that the names aren’t supposed to be read individually?
And when you say “dynamically”, do you mean in lots of different, possibly random ways that will maintain an audience’s interest in watching 15 minutes of names?
In any event, as Zak has said, there isn’t a plugin that will do this. Motion can import text files for the purpose of creating credit rolls, though.
