motion templates
I am trying to use the master templates in final cut pro for a sequence that is 16:9 however most of the master templates are 4:3 and distort in a 16:9 sequence. When I drop a 16:9 shot into the drop zone it distorts it. I’ve tried changing the motion project to anamorphic and also ticking the anamorphic box in item properties in fcp but nothing seems to work. These pre created master templates look like a good idea I just wished they worked in 16:9. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Drop it in… Open it in Motion… External Editor Command
Change the project settings to anamorphic in Motion.
You may want to open the templates, modify, and save new tempaltes.

Thanks Richard, I wasn’t modifying the templates I think that may have been the problem. Be nice if the templates automatically adjusted for the sequence settings in fcp.
