    Hi
I generally use motion just for lower thirds ,credits and a couple of Logo animations …all pretty basic

My brother in law ( so yes , comp but no real deadline) has asked for a 3 minute video, composed entirely of graphics and text ( he showed me an example) …… Moving arrows , highlight various city offices throughout he world, silhoettes , moving text etc etc

Now it struck me as an interesting project and a way to improve my Motion skills ( along with options for my REAL. Clients ) , and i know Motion is capable ……… But is it the most suitable software for such a long graphics video or would i be better looking at something else

    Any insights appreciated

I think Motion is a great program and is capable of doing more then most give it credit. Take a look at this TV spot I did a couple years back. I think if helps show off some cool stuff Motion can do: TV Commercial

PS, Motion is way better at animating arrows then After Effects is. I have not had a chance to look at the new AE but I hope Adobe has addressed this. Best of luck.

    Hi Stephen
Many Thanks for taking the time to reply …. and the video is really good …love it

Found your Kinetic Typography Motion tutorial today (which is also excellent!!) so yes Motion will do all I want it to do (and probably more than I’ll ever realise) …..after a steep learning curve …which in fairness Im looking forward to

So thanks for all the help
