Motion Strangeness
There should be no problem. Latest Mac OS Catalina on a new iMac Pro. But the latest Motion, v5.4.6, has all sorts of strangeness. Yes, I deleted the preferences. But for example, on save, it always gives the alert that it saved ‘Untitled’, but, behind the scenes, it does save the project. The project, when named, will confirm that it saved ‘Untitled’. CMD-S from that point shouldn’t generate another alert that it saved ‘Untitled’ but it does. This doesn’t happen with just one project. It happens on every project I start. There’s just a lot of wrongness about Motion, such as not displaying the the inset viewer when moving the camera while looking at it with Perspective. I could make a whole list of things that are just not working, yet I don’t know what else to check.

More accurately, the alert after every CMD-S after the title was named is ‘Share successful. Sharing untitled was successful.’ It takes close to a minute after CMD-S for the alert to appear. I just started a new project and this is not happening. My problematic project is one where I follow a tutorial and has no third-party plug-ins. It’s just a path with a motion path and a flare and some paths that copy the edges of a font and then the font is removed.
