I’m relatively new to Premiere Pro and looking for a way to smooth motion across keyframes. I’m trying to animate a graphic object (in this case a png of a cartoonish frog) to jump across the screen in an arc. From lilypad to lilypad.

I have a starting keyframe, a middle keyframe at the apex, and an ending keyframe. So the frog jumps up and down at more-or-less a right angle.

Several years ago Curt (CWRIG) wrote: “iN 6.X you can use the motion tool and it has a “Smooth” option. If you make 4 keyframes in a square and set it to the Smoothest option you will almost get a circle.”

I think that’s what I’m looking for but cannot find.

Any pointers would be helpful. Thanks!

    Hi Dennis,

In Effects Controls panel, right-click on any keyframe (diamond) and play with changing the Spatial Interpolation and Temporal Interpolation, using Bezier options to see if you get the desired results.

    Thanks
