  Motion projects won’t load in FCP5

  I am getting grayed out .motn files on the import requester in FCP 5.

  When I change the “Import File” requester selection to All Files and select a .motn file, I get the error message “File Error: 1 files(s) not recognized, access denied, 1 unknown.”

  The Motion projects were created on the same computer, same partition, but will not load to FCP5.

  Motion is part of the same FCP5 suite installation and registered under the same serial number.

  All clips apear to be properly linked.

  This is on a two day old, re-format and complete fresh install partition.

  OS 10.4.6, QT 7.0.4, FCP 5.0.4, Motion 2.0.1, Kona LS 1.2.2

  I have tried re-registering, deleting FCP prefs, repairing permissions, running Yasu cron scripts, re-booting.

  No luck so far.
