    Hello All,
I have a 1.42GHZ G4, which was the top of the line when I bought it, unfortunately, right before the G5 came out. Anyhow, I tried to install motion on my computer and it would not let me, because my gfx card was not fast enough. I don’t get it, my friend has it installed on his one processor G4 laptop, and I can’t get the darn thing to work on my fast dual processor tower. Why can I run the most current version of After Effects, but not Motion? It just doesn’t make sense to me. I am thinking of getting the production suite when I upgrade my FCP, because it is such a good deal, but what would be the point if I can’t run one of the programs that I am paying for. I have no problem running any other graphics/video programs, just Motion. I don’t want to upgrade my gfx card, because at some point I will get a G5. I understand how my gfx card might not be ideal, but it can’t run the program at all? Is there any way around this installation checkpoint?

    Thanks in Advance,
    Eli

Nope. Have a look through the forum for many posts on why this is so.

Does your system meet all the minimum specs listed on Apple’s site? Have your downloaded and run their “check for Motion compatibility” utility available on their Motion support page?
