I am currently working on a DVD project in Adobe Encore 2.0, my question has to do with motion menu’s. Is it at all possible to force the motion menu to finish it’s cycle before moving to its target, even if the user has made a selection half way through? I have been unable to find anything built into the program and am willing to try scripting, etc to get it to work. I also have access to DVD Studio Pro if it is not possible in Encore.

Not possible in Encore. Probably not possible in the DVD-Video format, either.

A menu is a menu- if you don’t want a user to select anything until everything has played, then make it a timeline with an end action linking to your menu.

I think you’re right that it isn’t possible in Encore. I did; however, get it to work in DVD Studio Pro using custom scripts. Does Encore support scripts to change button, menu, and track functionality?

Although Encore does many scripting-type tasks, such as Return to Last Menu, doesn’t support user scripting. Sorry.
