What I’d like to have is:

    1) Animated intro where buttons appear

    2) Animation continues as background, but button changes to active Encore buttons.

Now I have animated the menu straight in AE. Just don’t get it how to go on with buttons in Encore. Should I start whole menu creating in Encore and then animate it in AE, or can I create buttons in AE?

You can use buttons that you create in Encore and get them into AE for animation by using the Export Menu to After Effects command. The subpicture highlight layers in AE should stay invisible.

When your animation is finished in AE, import it back into Encore and use it as the background video for the menu you first sent to AE.

Keep the buttons in Encore, but make all the layers of the button layer set invisible by poking out the eyeball for the layer.

Make sure the highlights line up with the button graphics in the bg video and you should be done.

    Ok, I’ll try that. Thanks!
