I am cutting a feature-length documentary on Final Cut Pro HD 4.5. The footage was shot on film and HDCAM. All the footage was mastered to HDCAM and I was cutting off DVCAM simo dubs. It was captured using a Decklink card and the working timeline is 23.98. The final product will be mastered to HDCAM at 23.98. Everything seemed to be going along smoothly until I recently turned over my OMFs for the pre-mix. The OMFs came through OK but something fishy is going on with the quicktime export. I exported the video as a Motion JPEGA and defaulted to the current fps. However, when I checked the quicktime using movie info in the quicktime player, it says that the fps is 22.66. When playing, the fps changes to 24. My dialogue editor working with the OMFs is experiencing some drift and I’m curious if anybody has run across this before with respect to a 22.66 framerate. Thanks in advance for any help.
