Yes… haven’t touched print work for years now back into it and forgotten alot of pre press prep. Scary stuff. I’m doing this first job in PhotoshopCS2 and exporting to a PSD PDF to keep it simple.

Can anyone help me with getting my total CMYK ink coverage down to the safe 270-300% amount. Can’t remember how I used to do this.

Do I need to flatten the whole image? That will make things difficult if so. I know the ideal way is to do all background raster artwork in Photoshop and text / vector in AI or Indesign but CS2 has this new smart object function which I though would speed things up.

Any other important checks / suggestions would be really helpful

    Thanks in advance!
