Motion Graphics Lines in movement!
YES! This is an oldie indeed!
But i need to know; I’ve created some packshots moving in a commercial. These comes from jpegs, in resolution 300. -They Spin and what not! And it all looks splindid.
BUT!! -when i export my sequence (8-bit uncompressed 4:2:2, upper field, PAL CCIR601 720×576) an open it in quicktime. I get lines in the motion-graphics. Even in the stuff i did in MOTION.
Now, i dont have a tv-monitor here. My only ref- is my huge-ass 42″ Plasma-screen. And i use the output of the computer to view it. And it still makes the lines.
*I Know it might dissapear when i layback it to Digibeta tapes. But is that true?
*And i need to send the client a approval-mpeg. And i just know they’ll question the line?WHAT TO DO??

300 what? Spartans? DPI? Pixels wide? Pixels high? Don’t make forum members guess, many of us will just guess that we don’t care and move onto the next post.

Buy a capture card and feed a proper PAL video signal to your PAL video monitor. Then you will know if you have a problem or not, and you can fix these problems as they arise.

Relax Dave. I’m working from home these days, due to the flue. There are monitors and DBC machines at work. I just.. well… don’t fell like going there right now, being sick an all! So i had to know it would work when i returned with over 20 files like this!!

it could be that your line graphics are too fine and you are seeing the aliasing when the lines are diagonal (not horizontal or vertical). You may improve it by either thickening the lines or perhaps adding a touch of blur to them.
