Hi all. I am an After Effects user with a good grasp of Photoshop and Illustrator, but want to have a fuller toolset as I prepare to do more freelance work. I’ve heard that Cinema 4D is a good 3D tool for motion graphics artists, and I was wondering if regular users of the software concurred.

I know Zaxwerks’ Invigorator to some degree, and I’m wondering if that is all I need for 3D motion graphics. Is Cinema 4D much more useful for a motion graphics designer than Invig? What sort of tasks is it good for? And of course, what is the learning curve? I have some experience with 3DS Max, Invig, and Swift 3D. Will C4D require a lot of time to learn?

    Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
    Naveen
