How do build motion graphics with avid xpress pro . I know how easy it is to build motion graphics in Final cut Pro, But how do I in avid?

Use the Marquee Title Tool. Select “New Title” and select Marquee. Take it from there.

I’m looking for more like what photoshop and after effects and Final cut pro can do with compositing of video
like screening and adding and muliplying,etc. etc. Do I have export to these programs do build motion graphics that have layers? -
Hey Richard,
The only way to do things like the transfer layers that you are describing in the Avid is with plugins. Boris will do transfer layers if you have that. The other option is to go to After Effects or Combustion for this type of work. As for me I do the later of the two. I find that AE and Combustion both have much better interfaces to create motion graphics and heavy composites in.
