When loading templates Motion does not open and then crashes within a few seconds.
These are the templates that causes Motion to crash. They are:
Fire, Satin, Seasons, Travel, Water and Light. The Pal Brush strokes causes a crash but the NTSC doesn’t.

I’ve reinstalled the Motion software 3 times after trashing the Preference, receipts and application folders.
I’ve got 8 gigs of RAM and a GE Force 7800GT card.

I know these templates run fine in work on another Mac and other people’s Macs but are not happy on my Quad at home.
I can’t really afford to pay for the Video Apple Care – it’s a lot of money.
Has anyone got any ideas or suggestions to what’s causing this to happen??????

    Thanks

    Ems

    Hi,

Are you running the latest version of motion or tried to update it?

    Hi,

Have you tried to run disk utility and fix permissions?

    Hi,

Have you tried to creating a temp user account and see if when logged in as them, it has the same effect.

    Hi,

You’ve got me stumped (I say while shrugging my shoulders!).

    Damaged installer DVD disks.

    Bad sectors on your harddrive.

Tried copying the themes from your other machine which it works on.

    Hope someone can help you!
