    Hi All,

Just want to make sure I’m not doing something wrong here. I have a DV NTSC project in Final Cut and have imported a 1:22:00 Motion project that contains most of my closing credits. It’s got the red render bar in the timeline and when I go to render it takes 32 minutes. Is this expected? Seems pretty long to me for the system I’ve got.

Any help or insight or just confirmation that this is right would be great. Thanks!

    Phil

Render it in Motion and I’ll bet you see that render time cut to something more like 4 or 5 minutes. All the roundtrip crap in FCP takes longer. Export to compressor, render livetype, render motion, etc. It’s not worth the convenience. Plus, if you actually do the rendering in Motion, you can continue to work in FCP while Motion is rendering.
