Motion button thumbnails won’t render properly

Yesterday I created video motion buttons for my premiere project in Encore. I followed the correct instructions, and everything associates well between photoshop CS4 and encore CS4. I built my project, and linked the buttons to the various scenes on my timeline. I then rendered my motion clips (set at a 20 second loop).
I burned my DVD film, complete with motion buttons, and viewed it. The problem I have is that 5 out of the 8 buttons are showing video that skips, it is far from smooth and painful to look at. The video itself on the timeline is fully rendered and works perfectly. I have tried rendering the motion buttons again but they still won’t play correctly. Video editing isn’t new to me, but motion buttons are. Therefore I would really appreciate some help in solving this problem.

How is your main video being imported into Encore? Through dynamic link? If it is directly imported, what codec is it in?
