Can someone recommend to me a plug-in for FCP or a software that can blur and track an object at the same time. I have used “Motion” with little success because the tracker gets lost and it seems that I save time just by blurring and adding keyframes to a mask. My job entails blurring nudity in movies on a daily basis and would like to find something that can make my life easier.

    Hi Neal

My own free Region Blur plugin might be helpful to you, but it does not handle motion tracking, it would maybe just help simplify and therefore speed up the masking and blurring process:

Generally speaking tho, when folks really want or need motion tracking then I tend to suggest Motion for its ease of use … but if that’s not working well for your content than you might have a try and see if Lyric’s Motion Tracking Kit (a plugin for FCP) would work better for you:

Or perhaps a more advanced tracking system is what you need:

    Hope it helps
