motion blur query
Hi
— when I use motion blur there is no ramping of the effect – ie the blur does not fade gradually away and appears rather like a soft transparent block following the object.
Anyone got any ideas on how to make this taper away nicely please ?

Hi Dave – thanks for the speedy reply …
…………….. get motion blur ok which is proportional to speed but its all the same weight — ie the pixels ( in the blur ) furthest from the object are the same density as those nearest ( I think ) …..
…………. perhaps I need to take a closer look at it — in the meantime please what is you favourite setting for motion blur and Ill start with that …

go to your composition settings and check for how much samples are set for motion blur in the advanced tab… default is 16 and 128.
