    Evening all,

Due to the colours used (mandatory) I am getting a coloured outline on any motion blur in my project. You can see it here with the ‘6’ compared to the ‘1’ in the image below.

Is there a way, if any, of fixing this – or most likely in AE – using a trick to get around the issue?

    Thank you,
    Henry

I seems right as it should to me. A magenta blurring over a cyan background should display as blueish.

You’ll have to think that you should see things playing at the desired FPS, not frame by frame. Your eyes should perceive things the way they are suppose to.

If you want to avoid or reduce that, you’ll have to color correct with adjustments on top of that.

Open your project settings (File > Project Settings, or Ctrl+Shift+Alt+K on a PC, Cmd+Shift+Opt+K on a Mac) and tick the box for “Blend Colors Using 1.0 Gamma.”

This will change the math for blending colors and eliminate the dark fringing you’re seeing on the motion blur.

Thank you Walter. That’s exactly what I was after.
