Motion And The Beach Ball
Currently running Motion 5.1, FCP X 10.1.1 on a late 2012 Mac Pro with Red Giant Universe as well. For some reason X will launch without issue but Motion tends to take its time and give me the beach ball effect. It does open. Universe plug-ins are used in both applications. I hear that on occasion third-party products can cause performance issues including a slow response. Could this be the situation here?
Same thing has taken place before Universe was installed but did not take as long to open.
Running most current version of Mavericks as well.

Oops! Just deleted the Motion preferences file and no more beach ball. Guess the preferences file was corrupted.
