    Hello,

I’ve just read this in an article on AppleInsider and was wandering if this means Motion might get a performance boost with OS X 10.5:

“Apple earlier announced that Mac OS X Leopard would support the Open GL 2.1 specification and provide “a dramatic increase in OpenGL performance by offloading CPU-based processing onto another thread which can then run on a separate CPU core feeding the GPU. This can increase, or in some cases, even double the performance of OpenGL-based applications.”

Does Motion make heavy use of Open GL?

    Cheers
    Steve

It will be fun to find out.
Like distributed rendering, OpenGL on Macintosh is a myth.
We won’t know for a few days, maybe a few weeks, and we’ll have to wade through hudnreds of card/GPU/CPU combinations.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
