Motion and external disk
Dear All,
I have read that for FCP and Motion to work properly together, you have to have all the media file (video, jpegs, psd files, etc)of both final cut pro and motion to be on the same hard disk. Ok. All my media, render files and autosave file for Final Cur Pro is on my Huge U320 external disk via scsi.
Now, do I have to move the “Motion file there as well: origianlly located on “users/shared/motion” and move it to “volumes/huge/motion”???? That is because it contains movies, templates, objects etc.I have tried that, but now for some reason, the audio and video playback seems more erratic and there seem to be many more drastic drop frames.
Please help and point me in the right direction.

No, you don’t need to move those files.
