Motion and Beveled Text
Hi, I’m fairly new to Motion but have a pretty good grasp of the program. In Photoshop there is an option for beveled text and you just check the box and edit how you want it beveled. I’ve looked everywhere in Motion for this option and have come up empty handed. I have seen a bevel filter but it doesn’t do beveled text. I am overlooking this or does the beveled text option not exist? Is there a plug-in that you have to get, and if so what are the best plug-ins for Motion? I’ve heard of a few but just want to get other opinions and suggestions. Thanks.

Heya,
The Indent filter (found in the Stylize category) can do some pretty flexible beveling. Using the optional input for the Height Map, you can achieve simple bevels, embossed textures, etc.

Thanks man! It’s seems that things that trip you up are something other people know to be simple, but I didn’t think indent would be bevel, when I think of indent I think of moving text over on a page. Thank again for your help.
