Prior to this new update Motion 5 would only automatically create keyframes when the Record Button is switched on. Now post update it will create a keyframe whenever there is a keyframe on the same layer, they even intended for this to happen.

    Motion 5.0.2 Release Notes:
“Ability to automatically add animation keyframes when recording is disabled.”

I don’t understand who would ever want this, if you need keyframes just turn the record button on. Is there any way to turn it off?

I completely agree. I cannot believe that this could be considered an ‘update’ or an ‘improvement’. That one change has caused me tons of headache and extra work. Have you found a solution for this? The only thing I’ve been able to do for a work around is to throw the keyframed object into a group and move the group. Ridiculous.
