I just recently upgraded to Motion 5, and one of the first things I noticed when trying to render a quicktime movie for use in Final Cut Pro, that it is missing several of the codecs Motion 4 had. For example, Animation, DV, etc. In Motion 4 I would go to Export and make my movie from there. In Motion 5 I go to share, Movie, and then go from there. Am I in the right place? Did Apple leave out essential codecs?

If you send to Compressor, you’ll have access to all your codecs.

That was the next thing I tried, except it told me I needed to upgrade to the newest Compressor to do so. Do I have to upgrade Compressor before I can use it with Motion?
