Motion 5 legacy issues
I know that with FCPx they have abandoned their legacy support meaning one can’t import a FCP7 timeline into FCPx. Is this true of Motion 5 though? Can I import a Motion 4 or Motion 3 template into Motion 5?
I haven’t had much time to read up on the product in full detail. Does Motion 5 work as a stand-a-lone product? Or can you only export files through FCPx? I read something someone posted that made me think you couldn’t!

You can open M4 projects in M5, I haven’t tested any others but I can’t see why you couldn’t. Yes you can treat M5 like a stand alone project if you want.
