Motion 5 Install
Posted by Burt Hazard on June 24, 2011 at 1:48 pmActually I’ve got a quick question: are you people (that have already installed Motion 5) running it from a partition on a system drive or a separate drive (either internal or external) or can Motion 4 and 5 peacefully coexist on the same partition/drive (after installing the software update from Apple)?

June 24, 2011 at 2:00 pmThey can coexist, When you install Motion 5 it will move all of the FCS apps into a Final Cut Studio Folder. So it may look like you lost them…they have just been re-located. Your FCS app icons will remain in your dock like nothing happened.

June 26, 2011 at 10:17 pmThanks guys,
I went ahead and bought and installed this pup (I’ll wait until the dust settles on FCPX itself; if it ever does) and I’ve got to say it’s a pretty sweet piece kit. 🙂

June 26, 2011 at 11:15 pmOh wow, that is some great stuff…the new Motion Rigging/Widgets reminds me of the Macro functionality in Shake and the “Gizmo” functionality in Nuke.
