  Motion 4 Render Quality

  We have recently upgraded to Motion 4 and have noticed that the rendering quality (out to Prores HQ) is very soft (unusable). ‘Best’ is selected for everything and the project size is SD PAL.

  We (my second editor and I) have been using Motion for 3 years to produce ‘graphic’ based TVCs so we are sure that we know how to set it up.

  The strange think is that when ‘Best’ is selected in the Canvas Render option the quality drops (soft) and the same with export.

  We have tried different codecs with luck.

  Does anyone know why this is and if it is an upgrade problem? Is there a fix?

  Final Cut studio 3, Shake and Adobe Production Suite CS3
