    I made a graphic of a rotating 3D logo that I wish to layer on top of a video file in FCP. But when I export the graphic, it still has a solid black background instead of a transparent one. How do I export the file with a transparent background?

    Make the background transparent -so you see the chequerboard then
    export using the Animation codec or drag the icon off the top bar into FCP
