Most reliable CF card for stills

December 8, 2019 at 4:06 pmChecking for people with CF card experience.
Which has been the most reliable for pro photo use?
I want to move over from SD to CF for more reliability for paid jobs and would love to have some experienced people weigh in.This model seems fast and I’ve heard SansDisk has a good reputation.
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1000362-REG/sandisk_sdcfxps_032g_a46_32gb_extreme_pro_compact.htmlBut if other cheaper brands are equally or more reliable, I’m open.
And I get nervous about larger than 32gb cards because I had a number of SansDisk 64gb SD cards fail on me (while the 32gb sansDisk SD cards have been reliable from my experience). But perhaps it’s less of an issue with CF cards? That’s why I was hoping to have people weigh in with brand/type/size reliability experience.
Thanks in advance for your time!! -

December 10, 2019 at 3:54 pmI like SanDisk and I think they invented the CF card. Never had problems. I’ve also used Lexar, now sold to another company. Had issues with them and they asked for them to be sent back for a firmware update.
I’d stay away from cheap generics. You get what you pay for.

Lexar’s haven’t lost any footage or stopped working for me, but they rarely actually reach the advertised write speed.
