Just wondering what peoples workflow is in this department.

I usually sync it all in a timeline, (pluraeyes or just a timecode sync if its has been locked) link video and audio together and drag into the project bin to make a merged clip.
The merged clips become my new media that I use.

This is great most of the time, however when you want to reveal in finder, it links to the .wav file and not the clip.
The merged clips also don’t seem to keep your in and outs when you do a match frame..

Just want to open up the topic to the board and see if anyone has any clever workflow on this topic.

    ta,

I usually sync all footage in a timeline manually, then I delete the audio attached to the video, and link the external audio to the video. I then just copy from any clip I want from the sync timeline and paste into my working timeline. I didn’t realize you could just drag into the bin to make a merged clip. Probably would be much better that way as you can use the source monitor again.

I make multicam sequences to sync up dual system audio with video clips. That allows me to batch sync up clips with audio or timecode.

For the create multicam dialogue, if you only want to hear the audio from the audio recorder, select the “camera 1” option. Audio files will automatically get bumped up to the top track.
