Any ideas on how to transform/morph text to object?

December 21, 2008 at 8:30 pma lot of ‘sins’ hidden by speed there. They might be morphing but frame by frame it looks more like they just scale the text in and out and arrange for it to disappear inside the box to start for that middle sequence then from the box just pull shapes out that are arranged to form a box.

December 21, 2008 at 11:56 pmI think you’re right there about them not morphing. Pretty clever the way it looks like it at full speed.
I guess my whole confusion now is how do you go about animating and breaking up the text like that? For example, if we just concentrate on the “H” at the end…..how do they break it up in different blocks and then animate it back together? -

December 22, 2008 at 4:22 amYou can break up the text by using the knife tool and then splitting off sections. I would guess that the animation was keyframed by hand.
