I’m working on cleaning up an AE project, and want to link both the Base Color (white in this example) and Highlight Color (pink) of this text layer to color pickers on a master control layer so I can easily change colors later on.

[image: a line of white text with one word colored pink, and in a heavier font weight]

Problem is, I am only able to apply one Color animator to a text layer at a time. Currently, I have the highlight (pink) text set up with a simple Range Selector and an expression linking to the color on my control layer, but the white base color is still being manually defined.

How can I link both of these colors to my control, while also being able to easily define the range for the highlight color? There is animation on this text also, so any timing needs to be preserved. I’ve tried a couple workarounds, but ran into more complications, so thought to come here and ask people more experienced than myself!

    Thanks
