    Hey All,

On the last build of MVP 14, brand new system i9 7920x 12 core, GTX 1080 GB, Samsung NVMe 256 GB SSD M2 system drive, Gigabyte Aorus Gaming MB, 32GB quad channel RAM. Windows 10 Pro rendering to Samsung 500GB SSD.

I’m trying to render an MPEG 2 file for DVD from a single MP4 from my Canon XA35, only have a little sharpening FX on it and also a synced audio .wav file (it is a concert video that I mixed the audio separately).

3 Fails to to render this simple, basic, no frills video.

    Any Ideas?

I have has SO MANY renders issues in MVP 14, on 3 good systems….driving me mad.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    [Scott Francis] “Any Ideas?”

    Yeah, old story . .

Do a Digital Intermediate(DI) to something that will work. I do SONY MXFs and allow the MPEG2 to be taken from that. MP4 to MPEG2? Can be bothersome. Get your work done and move on.

That’s what I HAVE to do (and then run it through Adobe Encoder). I also use MXF.

I just find it absolutely RIDICULOUS this is a workflow for a $600 piece of software. And it gets WORSE it seems.

    Thanks for the input though!!

    Hi Xavier,

I used to suffer an uncountable number of crashes and hangs when rendering. In my case, two things helped to rectify:

    1. Render by nesting: Before rendering a project, close it first and then “import” (i.e. nest) it in a new project (veg).

    2. Disable GPU acceleration completely (in Preference) if render by nesting does not work.

Your system configuration significantly different from mine so maybe different issues but worth checking. It doesn’t cost any money.
