Sorry to keep asking… just hoping someone might know something:

I’ve got oodles of pics (24k) that need to be cut-out (animation sequences), but the BG isn’t blue screen or even simple. To get them started so that I could start the project, I’ve been using vector paint as mask (see attached), but I ultimately need to have them cut out tighter. I’ve tried Mocha, but with characters often turning around and such, the tracking hardly works… too many keyframes and points on the x-spline. It would be about the same to just animate bezier masks or continue vector paint in AE.

Anyone have any ideas how I could find a streamlined work process to get rid of this “fringe” other than spending thousands of hours hand cutting?

Walk away from this project, man…
Or farm it out to a roto-studio
