    Hi

“Intel will be moving to its Ivy Bridge platform in April …it is very efficient in operation in comparison to the previous Sandy Bridge….Basically, we are going from two high performing 6 cores, to two even higher performing 8 cores.”

Ahemmmm… The ‘previous Sandy Bridge’ dual-capable Xeons haven’t even shipped properly so far.
Isn’t expecting dual-capable Ivy Bridge CPUs (scheduled for Q4-2012/Q1-2013) in April a tad premature?

Wow – true workstation power in all-in-one with Dreamcolor quality graphics! Let’s hope Apple is watching… Premiere Pro users gotta love this thing!

Maybe some will. For any serious work it’s too underpowered with a single Xeon, limited slots, and no Thunderbolt. I suppose HP is thinking more graphics workstation than editing.

To bad there’s no Thunderbolt. So no broadcast video out, no fast raids, etc.

Whoops. I just noticed it has a full-size PCIe slot, and 3 mini PCIe slots. Not bad! I wonder if the thing will sound like a vacuum cleaner when its fans are running.

No need with that 10b screen on.

I don’t see this competing with the rumored next-gen Mac Pro — the Z800 would do that — but it’s a strong competitor for the iMac.

If you watch the video they say their goal was 20db which they call “whisper quiet” – looks pretty awesome to me though I’m guessing one with 10k RPM drives and Quadro 4000 will cost a small fortune…. it should be Avid qualified too I would guess as there are no odd components.

Hoping we see some 3rd party PCIe Thunderbolt cards soon? For Mac and PC?
