    Hi,

I am working with stills most of which were scanned at 300 dpi and cropped and enhanced with psp. I want to show this montage on a widescreen monitor. How do I aspect these stills to fill out a widescreen monitor as simply as possible. All of my edit and view properties are set for widescreen, but the stills appear way to small
    and pillared on the sides.
Any help would be great Thanks

Are your project properties set to widescreen?
Have you right-clicked in the Preview window and selected Simulate Device Aspect Ratio?
Have you used a script or the Pan/Crop tool to match all your images to a widescreen aspect?

yes my properties are set to widescreen. Aspect ratio is set, but that is the problem when you set to keep proper aspect ratio the images are small. To fill up the widescreen you have to uncheck proper aspect ratio, but then the images become unrealistic looking making thin look fat etc.

In Pan/Crop, right-click the image and pick “Match Output Aspect”

as usual, Edward filled in the gap in my instructions.
I’ve done 3 videos over the past 2 months that were shot in widescreen.
I also added a number of stills to each video and, in all cases, selecting “Match Output Aspect” guaranteed that they came out as they were supposed to.
