    Hi, Folks,

I know there are any number of cards on the Mac side that would let me monitor my timeline for color correction on my beloved Sony NTSC monitor, which has composite and component inputs. Not being blessed with a Mac here at work, does anyone know of a card that will allow NTSC monitoring on the PC side? Anyone?…Buehler?…

Most DV camcorders will convert firewire output from Premiere to analog. Dont have an old DV camcorder to tie up, get an A/D converter like ADS Pyro A/V link ($150 at B and H).

Well, that actually won’t do it – XDCam isn’t DV, it’s MPEG. We actually monitor through a Sony deck when we’re cutting HDV (as we have been up until now) but without an additional card in the PC (or so it appears) the option to “Monitor on External Device” is greyed-out.

Have you looked at BlackMagic or AJA cards?
