    Colleagues

On my Nikon D90 the HDMI output is nice to have but of limited usefulness thanks to its limited resolution and the fact that it does not display the video image full frame. My question is whether on the Canon T3i (60D) and 600D cameras the hdmi output is full 1920×1080 resolution at the output and full frame and so suitable for aiding fine focus as well as framing. I have asked in local shops but they have never looked and do not know.

    Can anyone tell me please?

AFAIK the only Canon capable of sending HD video over HDMI during recording is the 7D. But it’s no clean feed. It’ll send all of the display infos as well.
