  • Monitoring in 9:16 1080×1920 portrait resolution – changing output mode frame size?

    Hi,

We’re producing HD content in portrait mode for a client. Our comps are 1080 x 1920 (1,0).

We would like to monitor on a portrait display. We’re bypassing the Matrox Mini and are sending the signal to the portrait monitor, which is connected to the graphics card for a video preview. The 1080×1920 setting work fine until here.

However, After Effects only allows 1920×1080 as an output mode, not the 1080×1920 that we require. That means that even if output as “Digital Cinema Preview – RAW” we get the full 1080 width but the height is cropped.

Let me know if this makes no sense… ANY HELP or a new thought is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Dan

Can you turn display rotation off, but still physically rotate the monitor?

Do you have “Scale and Letterbox Output to Fit Video Monitor” checked in the Preferences?
