  • Monitoring FCP timeline output

I’m not new to editing but I am new to the AJA ioHD which is connected to my Mac Pro with a firewrire 800 cable. I am also new to MAC/FCP and what I am trying to do is see timeline scrubbing and playback from my FCP timeline (prores 1080i) through the HDMI out of the ioHD and into a Panasonic Plasma TV. The settings in the AJA software seem to be OK, I can get the ioHD generated color bars up on the monitor/TV but I can’t seem to get any output from FCP. Any advice would be appreciated.

HOt control-q and choose the matching easy setup.

    Refresh a/v devices (option-f12)

Then make sure that your video output is on (command-f12).
