monitoring audio
Hi-
I’ve been using the AJAla for a couple of weeks. I’ve noticed that when
I capture, I can’t adjust the audio gain in the final cut log and capture window.
All the controls are grayed out. Am I missing something?Thanks very much.

You’re not missing anything, that is the way it works. AJA Io is a unity gain device, simply taking what you feed into it and passing it on to Final Cut Pro. The best way to deal with audio levels is to insert an outboard mixer between your deck and the Io (I use an inexpensive Behringer which works quite well). For video levels, you can adjust your decks’s TBC (some require external remote controls) or use filters after capture.
