  • Monitor Issues with New Mac Studio

Just got my new Mac Studio and decided to go with a Asus ProArt Display PA279CV. I think that may have been a mistake. There appears to be no control to the speakers on this monitor. You either select Mac Studio speaker or the ProArt speakers. No volume or any other controls for audio. And the Magic Keyboardʻs speaker function keys do nothing. I hit the mute key. I see the icon on screen showing itʻs been muted but the audio is still present. So using the ProArt speakers is out of the question. And they are very bad. You can not edit any audio using these speakers. Unless you want to wear headphones ALL the time. You are forced to spend more $$ to get an external sound system. Iʻve been spoiled by my iMac.

The monitor comes with no manual or gives you any idea about the 6 buttons on the bottom of the monitor. You have to ʻwing” it.

If any of you can provide any feedback if you use this monitor or suggest another one, let me know soon so I can return this one. $1600 for the Studio Display is still too much. Though it would probably be a perfect fix for the Mac Studio.

    Thanks in advance.
