    Hi Everyone,
I am a newbie just starting with FCP and I have bought 2 second hand 20″ Apple Cinema monitors that I want to calibrate. Can anyone suggest a good calibration tool they have had experience with as I am at a loss to decide which to buy. Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers Micki

    Hi Micki,
I think you should use the Monitors Control Panel to adjust your Apple 20″.
This is not a broadcast monitor that you have to adjust with bars or other test signals to work with.

    Hi Micki,
Soon you will start to feel the need of color correcting your movies. Then you will need a montor properly calibrated.
Now read and practice as much as you can.
    Cheers,
    Rafael

    Mikki:

Send me your email address and I will send you some material for calibrating your own monitors. I’ve heard that studios get professionals to calibrate their screens once every month or so (maybe that’s overkill too) and if you can afford it, it’s the best way to get it as close to perfect as possible. Usually, it’s like $100 for this service but I’ll show you how to do it for free for now.
