    Hello,

I have both an iMac and Macbook Pro that I use for various multimedia projects and SD editing work in Creative Suite 3 and Final Cut Studio 2, and recently the differences in color balance between the two monitors has really begun to stick out to me.

Is there some color profile that people recommend using as the ‘standard’ when doing print and broadcast work? Or does it really just come down to each individual monitor’s native white point, gamma, etc?

I would really rather not put down the cash for a display calibrator, but accurate color on a monitor is obviously somewhat important…

    Thanks for any insight!
