So even though I am cutting a feature film I reverse telecine to 23.98?

I do it with HDCAM shows but I always thought a full 35mm feature had to be done at 24 frames per second.

What am I going to run in to down the road when they want the EDL for the DI and such?

[Daryl K Davis] “24 frames per second”

TRUE 24fps? Not 23.98? I don’t think that FCP can send a true 24fps signal out thru firewire to play on an external monitor. 23.98 yes, 24fps, no.

I’d call the people that are going to do that for you, but you can conform from 23.98 to 24 as well. Call your DI house.
