Our station’s end-of-fiscal is coming up and we have a few hundred bucks to spare for Avid plug-ins. Any suggestions on what to check out?

    We already own:
    3-Prong Color Fix
    Boris Red
55mm (I friggin love these filters!)
    Stage Tools Moving Picture

Our workload is everything from documentaries to promos and PSAs, so we need a wide array of everything possible.

Check out elastic gasket. Allows you to take 3rd party AE plugs and drop them into the Avid.

I love all the digital film tools stuff. 55mm is a great choice.

Boris is okay. Slightly more versitile, but the 55mms are BEAUTIFUL.

You CAN’T go wrong with Boris Continuum Complete AVX!! 4.1 is the current release, but version 3 is top-notch, too.

These are FAR more than a “few hundred bucks,” but Genarts Sapphire are AMAZING, MUST-HAVE plugins as well. They work in tandem with BCC AVX very nicely.
