i was wondering if the MOGRT’s i create in AE retain the same exact properties 1:1 when imported into premiere?

so far i noticed that the drop shadows are much weaker. what else changes?

does it take into account composition settings?

    – like if samples per frame are set to 64?

    – accurate transparencies ?

    -motion blur?

    – resolution?

and if not, how would i go about exporting a lossless MOGRT?

Nothing changes, but Ae and Premiere composite differently by default — so things like partially transparent drop shadows will appear differently. You’ll have to change a setting in one app to match the other if you want consistency in cases like this.

If you switch “Composite in linear light” in your Premiere sequence settings to OFF, then your MOGRT should match in Premiere exactly. (And cross-dissolves to black/transparency will get smoother.)

Alternately, you could work in linear in Ae by setting a project color space (Rec. 709 should your default unless you know you need something specific) and linearizing in the project settings, under the color tab.
